Georgie tells us her story.
I worked in hospitals as a Dietitian in Australia and then for 8 years in the UK. I became disillusioned with the so called “Public Health system” and wanted to learn about business. I moved into Nutrition marketing/sales type roles with an international company and learnt a lot about marketing and how corporations work. I wanted a change but had no idea what I wanted to do. So I became a mortgage broker. Ironically I discovered SEO and internet marketing while doing mortgage broking through the global financial crisis. The only marketing that worked was the SEO changes I made to the website. I discovered I loved internet marketing and my SEO journey was born.So in 2009 I became an SEO consultant for an RTO. I worked with websites generating monthly sales of $100,000. This lead to a part time role as an SEO consultant at Flight centre while I built my SEO business "Fruitful Online" on the side. As of Nov 2016 Fruitful Online is a social and environmental enterprise that only works with conscious entrepreneurs. We achieve this through only promoting businesses that make a positive impact on the world either through the products and services provided or through the philanthropic actions of the business owner. We also achieve this by directly giving back to organisations that support communities and the environment. On a personal level my home and business is run totally by solar power and I choose to only buy organic, low toxin or second hand products whenever that is a possibility (electric car dreams!!!). I would love to be totally off the grid in the city and for this to be possible for whole communities. For everything to be 100% recyclable and everything to be free from synthetic chemicals.
