Kayleen is an Autobiographical Journalist (aka 'Real Life Writer'). With her first book predicted to be published in 2017, her passion and desire for helping people is clearly demonstrated with her honest free style of writing in all her modalities. Kayleen writes from her heart about life. Her thoughtful perspectives offer her readers unique and inspirational insights into her thinking and the way she takes on life around her and everything it throws at her.
With a less than desirable childhood and many tragedies throughout her life, Kayleen is the true definition of a fighter and has now opened her life to the world through her blog where she shared deeply personal thoughts, feelings and memories along with inspirational pieces about life along with her experiences on her journey. Having inspirational groups and pages on Facebook with many followers is where her love of sharing her thoughts online first began with many people telling her how much her writing and inspirational pieces helped them. Kayleen had not always aspired to be a writer but since starting her autobiography 2 years ago she quickly found a true love of writing. After reflecting on the past, it quickly became evident that she is a very skilled writer and writing was always going to play a pivotal role in her life, which started with Poetry at a young age. Kayleen now brings words to the page and screen to inspire and help others while proudly and passionately dedicating her time to inspiring others through social media outlets online along with humanitarian causes. Kayleen is proudly incorporated with Kidzucate, an organisation founded by a 6 year old which is a Harm Prevention Charity and the 1000 Ripple Effects project. Kayleen is highly regarded and takes on life with warm appreciation and gratitude for all that is around her and the courage to stand tall with a strong and clear voice to help and support on the behalf of others. She recently recorded a live video on social media which has since been viewed over 11,000 times. Kayleen is a strong-spirited woman who supports and defends others, especially children whenever and wherever she can. Kayleens' voice is strong and has been publicly recognised for her efforts with one of the Top 100 most influential People of Perth for her endeavours both on stage as a speaker and the unnoticed efforts 'behind the scene'. Furthermore, Kayleen is an advocate for many things, one of them being kindness. Kindness is free and Kayleen understands first-hand the priceless value of kindness and what it's capable of and sets an example for her children and those around her at every opportunity to give back to others, which is why she was thrilled when she found out about 1000 Ripple Effects project, she just knew in her heart this was something she had to be involved with. What's Your Story?
I lived a traumatic life (for the first 2/3rds of life). As I’ve grown, I’ve outwardly spoken about my past, refusing to hide from who I am and what happened to me. I use my story as my strength and am on a mission to inspire others to do the same. Hope is a beautiful thing, and my story contained many moments of hope, hope for a better life, hope for happiness, hope for love, hope for a family of my own. Everything I’ve ever hoped for has come true for me. I hope to empower other’s hearts and minds around the world to take their life into their own hands and reclaim their power, by using my own story as an example. My Autobiography will be published in 2018. What is the toughest decision you have ever made? Toughest decision I ever had to make was to run from the police, or surrender. What is the easiest decision you have ever made? Easiest decision was to say ‘yes’ when my husband asked me to marry him. Who is your role model and why? Gabrielle Bernstein. She inspires me with her authenticity and vulnerability. She speaks truth, of love, and the power of the Universe, and spirituality. All of which are incredibly important to me. She has also impacted the world in a great way and I feel connected to her in a way I never have with anyone before. She makes me want to be a better person, and gives me the courage to do so, and I feel her support for showing my own authentic self and impacting the world in some of the same ways she does. What is your SUPER Power? My Love. My Heart. Kindness and Compassion When have you been the most satisfied in your life? When I’m helping people, making a difference in others’ lives. What things do you not like to do? Cleaning! Standing for too long. What is the most important thing about what you want to do? To inspire hope in the world. To impact people enough to understand the value of kindness, and love. To be part of the healing change, uplifting humanity to a more peaceful and joyful existence. Do you believe books can change the world? Yes, absolutely. The first book which changed my life was “The Four Agreements” by Miguel Ruiz. Many have changed my life since. One book can change one life, over and over, just like a ripple effect, ultimately, ‘changing the world’, one page at a time. What is your ultimate goal? To travel the world and share my love and passion, inspiring hope and healing across continents and impacting lives across the world. What do you prefer? Beach or Mountains? Ooh, tricky. Both. I love the feeling of being near water, and the enormity of it, however I love the peace and tranquillity, and naturalistic of mountains (though I have never been) – goals! Sweet or spicy? Sweet, although spicy is definitely growing on my taste buds. Window or aisle? Window. Left side specifically. (Deaf in my left ear which can make for a really awkward and uncomfortable trip if someone is trying to talk to you and you can’t hear them.) Ice-Cream or Custard? Ice-cream (unless it’s warm home-made custard)…. YUM! Dessert First or last? Dessert for dinner! (A few times). Mostly last. |
What Ripple Effect Would you start in the world and why?
I’m not sure what Ripple Effect I would start however, I would continue with Kindness. Kindness can change a life, even save one. There are countless stories of how one random, or deliberate act of kindness, no matter how small has greatly impacted or saved someone’s life. I can personally attest to this. If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? More kindness and compassion, for all of humanity and the Earth. For each other, animals, land, the oceans. Everything. With kindness and compassion radiant through the world, there would be less greed, anger, violence and destruction. More peace, love and joy. |
