I am an Austrian trained chef, who has travelled with my trade throughout
Europe before settling here in Australia. Living in tropical Cairns for some time, spirituality found me and I started to look at life - my life – with a different set of eyes. Bit by bit the layers fell off over time, nicotine, processed food, unhealthy relationships, avoiding chemicals, dairy milk, reducing meat consumption, appreciating the value of good water, and so forth. These layers have been replaced with the knowledge that food is medicine - providing the environment and conditions that are helpful and supportive to good health. The love for natural health has been extended to the practice of reduce - reuse and recycle as much as possible. I now have the opportunity to grow my own food and look after chooks, a new and valued experience. Similarly to most people, I started working life as an employee. I have been employed in family businesses all the way to very big companies. However, no matter where I worked ,or, for that matter what kind of work I did, the sense of fulfilment within myself was never complete, no matter how hard I tried. The aim has been and still is, to help people. For some time, the best way I could do this, whilst being self employed, was through cooking and selling healthy food, created with love, to the public at events and festivals of all kind in South East Queensland. Having worked physically hard for most of my working life (yes, my hair has changed its colour naturally and there is less of it ☺), my body is now telling me in many different ways, that it’s time to find a new way in which to help others. Throughout my life, I have had various people helping me, for which I am very grateful indeed. My focus is now to give back to community and return this good will and help. All my accumulated interest and experience in nutrition, healing, meditation, and self-improvement wants to be shared. And so, through Conscious Living, a new chapter of my life is beginning, sharing with others how each of us can easily be pro-active in positively influencing our well-being in a lasting way, every day. To contribute to this wonderful 1000 Ripple project, I am sharing some tips that have been helpful to me throughout my life in many ways – I hope that they can help you to live a happier, healthier life. |
