TOFE EVANS - RESILIENCE THOUGHT LEADER | LIMIT PUSHER
I am a big believer in pushing the boundaries. I put my body through extreme endurance challenges for two reasons... (1) to see how far I can push myself and; (2) to help people along the way and raise money for various charitable causes.
I got involved in this field from my own mental health struggles for 8 months back in 2014 - I managed to overcome both heavy depression & anxiety not through self-infliction or medication but with endurance & gratitude.
Where I’ve had a lived experience and am constantly reinventing myself through endurance gives me the credibility with how the mental game works especially in very stressful moments and crises. As a thought leader on practical resilience, I'm grateful to be teaching this to others whether in keynote speaking or coaching so they can plan in advance of crisis and not be the bitch of their own brain.
I'm 1 half of an endurance duo - 'The Wounded Pelicans'. After taking up ultrarunning (marathon plus distances), endurance is something we've used to help those in need. Gratitude is incredibly important and is a core value in this project because there's a magic in giving.
